Eagle Rock Reservation in Orange, NJ

Between West Orange, Montclair, and Verona, you'll find the Eagle Rock Reservation in Orange, NJ, a park covering more than 400 acres on the ridge of the Watchung Mountains. The park's eastern border is bounded by the 40-mile Lenape Trail, marked by yellow blazes. Hikers of all ages and capabilities are welcome on the footpaths and hiking trails that wind through the park's woodland, although occasionally muddy areas. I like this park as it offers a large green, the Essex County 9/11 Memorial, and an overlooking view to the east with the breathtaking views of the New York City skyline found at the park's main entrance on Eagle Rock Avenue. A Woman Is Seriously Injured By A Hit-And-Run Vehicle In Orange

Orange police are still investigating a hit-and-run pedestrian accident that injured a woman on Friday night. A light-colored van or pickup truck collided with the 45-year-old woman as she was crossing the intersection of Freeway Drive West and South Essex Street. The vehicle then fled the scene, which is so devastating, and had no mercy. The victim was taken to University Hospital in Newark, where she is still in critical condition, according to the police. Although the incident was reported to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office, no fatality was confirmed as of early Saturday morning. The driver is still at large, despite several vehicles matching the description being stopped for the investigation. I hope he'll be caught to get punishment for what he has done. Read more.
